About DogGunnit Gear

Alone far in the wilds and mountains I hunt,
Wandering amazed at my own lightness and glee,
In the late afternoon choosing a safe spot to pass the night,
Kindling a fire and broiling the fresh-kill'd game,
Falling asleep on the gather'd leaves with my dog and gun by my side.

- Walt Whitman, Song of Myself

Our Purpose

We honor the sporting dog’s critical role of bringing the hunter to the prey - their patience and focus, their keen noses and visual spectrum, and when needed, their haunting howl which travels well to unite dog and man.

We honor the hunters, the trainers, the caregivers, the guides, the landowners, the trail cooks…they are all nature’s ultimate conservationist. Within the act of exploring, lost in nature, we find our true selves.

Who We Are

Founded in the heart of the South, Texas to be specific, DogGunnit is repping all those that put in the work. We design apparel to celebrate the work ethic, the tenacity, and the spirit of the gun-dog lifestyle.

We understand, as nature and travel writer, Edward Hoagland explained,

“In order to really enjoy a dog, one doesn’t merely try to train him to be semi-human. The point of it is to open oneself to the possibility of becoming partly a dog.”

Working dogs are a part of us - an extension of us. We aim to celebrate and encourage these bonds and time spent outdoors in the essence of nature and all it has to offer. We fish from the Lake Texoma to Galveston Bay, we hunt from the Piney Woods to the Hill Country, and as private pilot (Drew) and avid hiker (Chad), we are constantly in awe of our great natural resources and the lands that raised us.

Apparel for Every Expedition

Through Dogunnit Gear we are committed to offering others like us around the nation, high quality, comfort, and style so nothing stands in your way. We wouldn’t sell anything we wouldn’t wear ourselves. Constructed with the sportsperson in mind, our apparel is comfortable enough for the long wait in the duck blind yet stylish enough for post-expedition gatherings around the campfire or back at the lodge. Crafted from premium materials, our gear is designed to withstand the rigors of the outdoor adventure without sacrificing comfort.

Thank you for visiting.

Meet the Team

Guns McKenzie CEO

Guns McKenzie - CEO of DogGunnit™

One afternoon after working like a dog for years, Guns had an epiphany. DogGunnit, his new retirement plan, was born! He barks orders now from the comfort of his faux-suede pet sofa.

Ruph "Pistol" Emmerson - General Manager

Ruph manages Production and works doggedly to ensure the utmost quality. Shreds of his tees that don’t make the cut can be found all over the production floor.

Daisy - Creative Director

She claims credit for the world-famous "3 Wolf Moon” shirt design. Don't let her delicate good looks fool you. When she's not creating the best in DogGunnit apparel, you can find her at the skeet range with her new Beretta A400 Xtreme Plus .

* OK, we admit there are some humans on the DogGunnit org chart. They mainly do things like maintaining the website and sweeping the floors. But for real...the dogs are in charge.
